Josh oversees all of the Intellectual Property (IP) matters for Swedish startup/growth company Einride in his role as SVP of IP. Einride provides electric and autonomous Freight as a Service for the global logistics market through their digital platform Einride Saga and a combination of commercially available heavy duty battery electric vehicles as well as their own autonomous electric trucks developed inhouse.

Josh has nearly two decades experience dealing with Intellectual Property (IP) matters with a particular focus on software related patents. Josh began his career in the US as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Following the USPTO he moved to Helsinki and transitioned into private practice, supporting a variety of Finnish and multinational companies to secure their innovations with patents in the US, Europe and around the globe. While specializing in US patent matters and patenting of software in general, he also worked extensively with embedded electronics, semiconductor wafer technology and other technological building blocks for advanced technologies. With the desire to be closer to entrepreneurship and innovation, in 2018 Josh took over as interim CEO of a 3D graphics startup, Basemark, helping significantly grow the company and refocus into automotive software development. During this time Basemark developed technology dealing with advanced 3D rendering, AR navigation as well as automotive ADAS and Autonomous Vehicle functions.
