Daniel Tabar

Co-founder & President, Atomontage

Daniel has two decades of experience with software engineering, game/tools design, distributed team building, production, and marketing. While still finishing high school in Sweden, he landed a job at NASA Ames research center in the Bay Area, working on spacecraft docking simulations. The Indie PC game Cortex Command and its entire game engine (now open-sourced) was designed and written from scratch by Daniel starting at age 18, and eventually won Technical Excellence and Audience Awards at the Independent Games Festival in 2009.

He has since built and led game development teams with members distributed in ten countries on four continents, before co-founding the software deep tech startup Atomontage Inc. in 2017. There, he manages product, charts strategy, raises funds, and wears many other hats.
