Yang Liu
Founding Partner & Chair
NOVAE DXXII
Dr. Yang Liu is an entrepreneur and industrial strategist, and the Founding Partner andChair of NOVAE DXXII Oy Ab in Finland. Her work focuses on the commercialisation, financing and international deployment of deep-tech, energy and strategic emerging-industry projects. Working across Europe, China and emerging markets, she specialises in combining technological innovation, business-model design and financial solutions with the development of cross-border industrial ecosystems. By connecting technology companies, industrial groups, equipment manufacturers, supply-chain partners, financial institutions and public-sector stakeholders, she brings together technology, industry, capital and markets to transform complex opportunities into commercially viable, financeable and executable projects.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Liu led the development of the first China-Europe strategic supply chain of its kind for a critical chemical raw material. She designed the cross-border sourcing and industrial cooperation model, secured the first relevant qualification and certification in the country of production, and completed the required market-entry process in the European destination market. The project established a replicable pathway for the stable cross-regional supply of critical industrial materials. In recent years, she has extended this experience into the critical-minerals sector, leading the development of a pioneering China-Africa-Europe resource and supply-chain integration model. Driven by verified industrial demand, the model connects upstream resource development and sourcing in Africa, China's technology, equipment, processing and industrial-scale production capabilities, and Europe's industrial demand, capital and compliance frameworks. It integrates resource assessment, quality verification, cross-border logistics, trade finance and risk allocation within a single commercial structure.
Dr. Liu was trained as a Doctor in Chemistry, holding a MSc in Chemical Engineering in Finland and MSc in International Banking and Financing in China, as well as Executive MBA in Europe and US. This multidisciplinary foundation enables her to connect scientific principles and industrial technologies with supply-chain structuring, investment, finance and international market deployment. She also serves as an adviser and evaluator within the European and Finnish innovation ecosystems.
