Jouni Flyktman is the Vice President for Defence and Security at IQM Quantum Computers, where he plays a critical role in advancing the company’s impact in the realms of defence and security. Previously he has led the strategic development of the company and managed key research and development and customer delivery projects, including the deployment of Finland’s first quantum computer.

Before his tenure at IQM, Jouni dedicated two decades to the Finnish Defence Forces, where he spearheaded the development of cyber and other capabilities. Jouni’s educational background is as diverse, holding an M.Sc. in Engineering Physics, an M.Sc. in Economics, a General Staff Officer degree, and an Executive MBA. This unique combination of technical, economic, military, and business education has equipped him with a multifaceted perspective and the ability to lead complex, interdisciplinary initiatives in the cutting-edge sector of quantum computing.
