Dr. Volker Wannack CEO / Managing Partner Blockchain Competence Center Mittweida (BCCM) Inkubator GmbH & Head of ‘Blockchain and AI in the Energy Sector’ BCCM at University of Applied Sciences Mittweida Dr. Volker Wannack holds a PhD in Economics with a focus on energy, regulation, and investment economics and a diploma in Industrial Engineering (energy supply) with a strong IT affinity.

He worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Energy Economics at Jacobs University (Bremer Energy Research Group) and later as section and project manager for asset management, network sales, and network services for electricity, gas, water, and district heating at an energy supply company. He is currently Head and Coordinator for blockchain applications and artificial intelligence, particularly for the energy sector, at the Blockchain Competence Center (BCCM) of the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida and Managing Director of BCCM Inkubator GmbH
