Anna Stikāne

Anna leads technology transfer and business development at NIRI, working at the intersection of academic research and commercial application in life sciences. She is an active member of the Alliance4Life network, helping build stronger technology transfer capacity across Central and Eastern Europe. Anna holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics from the University of Leeds and brings over 4 years of experience developing and translating research into impact. She is also a co-coordinator of the ASTP BioMedical special interest group and an active member of the BioPhoT Latvian translational funding platform. Fluent in Latvian and English, she is known for her collaborative, open approach — always happy to connect with others working to bring good science to the people who need it.
