What’s New

at NORDEEP 2026?

Turning Deep Tech Conversations into Practical Next Steps

For our 5th Anniversary Edition, NORDEEP is introducing new formats designed to turn deep tech conversations into practical next steps. We are moving beyond passive listening—NORDEEP 2026 is an active event engine where companies, cities, investors, researchers, and startups come to solve real problems, find pilots, and start commercial conversations.

Here is how we are shaking things up this year to ensure every attendee walks away with measurable value:

Global Deep Tech Showcase at NORDEEP

Featuring Selected Companies from the Global Deep Tech Awards Programme

We are evolving our signature stage presentations into an international company-presentation platform dedicated to bringing the world’s most promising deep technology startups, university spinouts, and research-based ventures onto the main stage. No generic marketing pitching allowed this format is built purely for technical proof, scientific credibility, and rapid ecosystem discovery.

The SiRA Standard

Every presenting startup is pre-evaluated and selected through the international Global Deep Tech Awards programme using structured company assessments, ensuring high-quality, scientifically sound innovations take the stage.

The 3+2 Performance Discipline

Each selected company receives a strict, fast-paced 5-minute block on stage, operating under a hard countdown:

  • 3-Minute Demo Sprint (Technology & Problem): The startup has exactly 180 seconds to showcase their live product, demo, or physical technology. They must clearly break down the scientific/engineering foundation, their unique approach, and who needs the solution.
  • 2-Minute Per-Startup Jury Q&A (Evidence & Defensibility): Immediately following the pitch, the clock resets for a rapid-fire 2-minute Q&A block dedicated entirely to that specific company.

A Multi-Disciplinary Global Jury

The specialized session juries are tailored to each technical field. They consist of active deep tech investors, academic researchers, and corporate technology leaders who bypass generic comments to drill straight into technical validation, prototype readiness, regulatory barriers, and scalability.

The “One Clear Ask” Rule

Every team must conclude their presentation by stating exactly what commercial resources they are actively seeking—whether they are raising investment, securing corporate pilot partners, or hunting for manufacturing and distribution support.

The 8 Core Deep Tech Fields

The presentations are meticulously organized across 8 primary technology pillars:

  1. Deep Tech Commercialisation & Scale
  2. Quantum & Future Computing
  3. Chips, Photonics & AI Infrastructure
  4. Physical AI & Robotics
  5. Life Sciences & Engineered Biology
  6. Energy, Materials & Circular Industry
  7. Security, Resilience & Dual-Use
  8. Space Systems & Earth Intelligence

The Discovery Zone

Where Science and Interaction Collide

True deep tech demands space to move, breathe, and operate. The Discovery Zone is a heavily curated, interactive exhibition floor exclusively dedicated to deep tech system demonstrations, physical hardware products, and hands-on operational machinery.

Hands-on Innovation

Move past simple slide decks and roll-ups. This zone is optimized for physical prototypes, live code demonstrations, and unexpected science-to-business ideas shaping global society. Outstanding showcase companies with demonstrable hardware are seamlessly bridged from the stage straight to live interactions here.

Who Can Exhibit

We welcome early-stage startups, university research projects, academic laboratories, and corporate innovation teams.

The Setup

Whether your innovation lives purely on a screen (software, simulation, AI models) or requires dedicated industrial space for large-scale physical hardware (robotics, drones, heavy components), we have tailored booth footprints and custom spatial layouts to match your setup.

The NORDEEP Corporate Innovation Arena [CIA]

Real Challenges. Live Prep. On-Stage Solutions.

The Corporate Innovation Arena [CIA] takes over the Main Stage this year to completely rethink how industry leaders and innovators collaborate. By bringing real-world corporate challenges directly to deep tech startups capable of engineering unique solutions, this format drastically speeds up the communication process and fosters a much more in-depth environment for brainstorming, development, and immediate pilot validation.

From Pitch to Floor

After the 5-minute corporate flash pitches, head to the exhibition floor for deep-dive Q&As and live demos at the partner booths.

Fast-Track Proposals

View the challenge briefs on the Live Opportunity Wall and submit your proposals through SiRA by September 20, 2026 to put your tech on the fast track for a funded corporate pilot.

Deal & Pilot Board:
The Live Opportunity Wall

A Synchronized Physical & Digital Marketplace

Instead of wandering the venue randomly, attendees can skip the small talk and immediately locate active, qualified commercial opportunities. The Live Opportunity Wall operates simultaneously as a high-traffic physical installation at the venue and a dynamic digital feed inside the SiRA platform.

Ecosystem-Wide Listings

The wall features moderated, categorized entries from every corner of the event, including active corporate pilot needs, public sector procurements, live investor search mandates, and startup resource asks.

Instant Actionability

Every opportunity displayed on the physical wall is synchronized in real-time with SiRA. When you spot a corporate challenge or investor thesis that matches your technology, you can instantly scan it or tap it digitally inside SiRA to submit a direct proposal or book a precise matchmaking meeting on-site.

Full details on how to pre-submit your listings and access the digital board will be shared closer to the event.

What We Fund:
Deep Tech Investor Thesis Sessions

Five Investors. Five Real Mandates. One Clear View of Where Capital is Looking.

Active international deep tech investors take the main stage and are given exactly five minutes each to transparently pitch their real investment mandates.

No VC Marketing Allowed

Participating investors skip the promotional slides to systematically disclose their exact investment thesis, entry stages (from pre-company spinouts up to Series A), ticket sizes, geographic mandates, and the precise technical evidence required before serious due diligence begins.

The 40-Minute Countdown

Strictly timed via a stage countdown, each fast-paced block features back-to-back 5-minute mandate presentations followed by a raw, comparative Q&A designed to expose the operational differences between the funds.

Direct Alignment via SiRA

Founders can instantly filter verified investor parameters and submit direct meeting requests via the SiRA platform to capital sources with a proven, active appetite for their specific technology.
